Because of the Tasseled Shoes
Year: 2007
Medium: oil on canvas
Size: 60" x 48"
"Because of the Tasseled Shoes" is a commissioned portrait for Beth and Lee Durrough. This painting takes place in a bar called Harry's in Kansas City where the couple originally met. Their conversation was sparked after Beth commented on how much she liked Lees' tasseled shoes.

The couple is depicted twice in this painting. The couple at the bar on the left side is Beth and Lee in their wedding outfits. The couple sitting on the far right is Beth and Lee in the present looking at themselves in the past.

Everyone else is friendly characters I found around town.
